Glasgow Over Plastic are screening 'A Plastic Ocean' in collaboration with Keep Scotland Beautiful, during their 'Week of Action'. **Please note that due to licensing restrictions this event is for over-18s only** We'll be screening 'A Plastic Ocean' in collaboration with Keep Scotland Beautiful (KSB) during their 'Week of Action' (14-20th September 2019) as part of their Upstream Battle campaign, which aims to tackle marine litter at source and prevent litter entering the Clyde. Named "one of the most important films of our time" by Sir David Attenborough, 'A Plastic Ocean' is an award-winning film that "explores the fragile state of our oceans and uncovers alarming truths about the consequences of our disposable lifestyle." (A Plastic Ocean). The film also highlights action that we can take, as governments, businesses and individuals, to improve the state of our oceans. We will also be joined by some inspiring speakers (TBC). We are being hosted by the wonderful Glad Café C.I.C in Shawlands. Come and join us for an evening of education, inspiration and hopefully action! The event is BYOC (Bring Your Own Cup!) as only plastic cups are provided for the venue space in The Glad Café due to health and safety regulations. We encourage you to bring your own reusable cup (and prevent more plastic from entering the ocean!).
